One of Taylon's top priorities is reconnecting with and reinvesting in our communities. All of those things are made possible with the Green New Deal and anything less is just delaying the inevitable and standing in the way of what we truly deserve. We deserve good jobs, reliable transit, a liveable planet, and a future. As a small business owner I am ready to fight for higher wages and better work conditions of workers so they can thrive.Īs a farmer and working class young person, Taylon recognizes we know that we can’t afford to keep waiting for corporations and for-profit politicians to save the day when it comes to a Just Transition away from fossil fuels and an extractive economy that doesn’t leave our most vulnerable neighbors behind. I'm a true progressive, and an honest person.I believe no matter what party you are in, your background or district, we are all fed up. It has made college, healthcare and housing inaccessible to working families, and it is destroying our public education system. Money in politics has led to the privatizing of prisons, continuing cannabis prohibition, harming our environment, and our most vulnerable.Our lack of mental health care facilities has contributed to the growing crime, addiction and homelessness across the region, let's fight for the respect our families all deserve. I will stand up against health profiteering, pharmaceutical companies profit gouging, and insurance companies that try and make money off sick people in appalachia. We shouldn't put off care because of cost. We shouldn't fear bankrupcy when we get sick. As someone who has dealt with the healthcare system personally, I am appalled by the lack of care and access people have to just take care of themselves and their loved ones.
